Gift rubies wedding parents
Nan wanted to surprise her parents with a special gift for their ruby wedding. After all, a 40th wedding anniversary must be celebrated well!
We got some nice pictures of the bride and groom and started working on the wooden portrait design. Nan indicated that warm colors would fit well in her parents’ light interior, but she didn’t know exactly which ones would be beautiful. We first made the portrait design and showed it to Nan in various color impressions. That made the choice a lot easier, especially after consulting with other family members.
We executed the portrait in a rustic oak background and used transparent stain for the faces. The width is 60 cm and the height approximately 50 cm.
Nan’s reaction after receiving the portrait: “Just received the portrait. It looks fantastic. I’m very happy. Thank you for your support. I’ll let you know what the bride and groom think of it. But that can’t help but be enthusiastic. Thank you very much.”
